Indirect Question(คำถามทางอ้อม) เป็นการถามคำถามแบบสุภาพโดยใช้คำนำหน้า
เช่น "Could you tell me ... ?" หรือ "Do
you know....?" ซึ่งมีอยู่ 2ประเภท คือ
1. Indirect questions with a Question Word
Can you tell me what time it is?
Do you know what time it is?
(ไม่ทราบว่าตอนนี้กี่โมงแล้วครับ)
2. Yes / No Indirect Questions:
Could you tell me whether she is the teacher?
Can you tell me if she is the
teacher?
(กรุณาบอกหน่อยได้ไหมคะว่าหล่อนเป็นครูรึเปล่า)
